The Research Fellow will undertake research on forests, adaptation to climate change, and the synergies between adaptation and mitigation (national- and local-level research, cross-regional comparative studies). The position also involves outreach and dissemination activities, research coordination, and contributions to fundraising activities.

Scholarship Description: These Scholarships were established in 2003 by Simpson Grierson.To assist students studying for LLB degrees to complete their studies and gain work experience.The Scholarships will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council upon the recommendation of a selection committee comprising the Dean of the Faculty of Law (or nominee), and one other representative from the Faculty of Law and two representatives of Simpson Grierson.

The work, to be performed in collaboration with Culham and with Ilmenau University of Technology (Germany), involves Direct Numerical Simulation of turbulent flow in rectangular ducts in the presence of a strong magnetic field with reference to liquid metal blankets for fusion reactors.
