University of Liverpool offers PhD Position in Organic Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, UK
Study Subject(s):Organic Chemistry
Course Level:PhD
Scholarship Provider: University of Liverpool
Scholarship can be taken at: UK
Eligibility:
We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to work on our current endeavour towards the development of transition-metal-catalysed C-H and C-C bonds activation and their application to the total synthesis of natural products of biological relevance. Examples of our recent work can be found in the reference section. The ideal candidate will have a Master degree in Chemistry with good knowledge of organic chemistry and catalysis.
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: The development of environmentally benign chemical reactions is a critical challenge facing society, which constantly demands new drugs and new materials to improve the quality of life without increasing the pressure on natural resources. Carbon-carbon (C–C) bond formation through transition-metal-catalysed activation of otherwise inert bonds constitutes a very promising strategy to develop sustainable synthetic chemistry and address those issues.
How to Apply: Electronically
Scholarship Application Deadline: Contact employer
