Eligibility:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate students who are currently enrolled in public or private universities in Taiwan are eligible to apply
-An English recommendation letter written by a professor
-A photocopy of student ID (including the front and back sides)
-Applicants misrepresenting their identity are disqualified
-Submitted essays should not be plagiarized from the applicant’s or others’ published articles, essays, or homework
-Copyrights of the awarded essays are reserved for the Lincoln Society Taipei and Fulbright Taiwan.

Scholarship Description: This Scholarship is established in honor of Dr. Yu-Tang Lew who founded the LincolnSociety, and the Scholarships are in Dr. Lew’s memory. The Fulbright – Lincoln Society Scholarships are sponsored by the Lincoln Society Taipei, developed with Fulbright Taiwan, and awarded to the winners of an Essay Competition. The aims of the Lincoln Society match those of Fulbright Taiwan, and are the promotion of deeper mutual understanding between Taiwan and the U.S. Expansion of cross-cultural exchange is the core mission of this scholarship. By participating in the competition, Taiwan students are better able to understand the honest and unselfish spirit of President Lincoln, and to advance the intellectual and cultural interaction between Taiwan and the rest of the world.
