Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the University’s standard academic and English language entry requirements. It is expected that applicants will also hold – or expect to hold by October 2012 – a Masters degree and should preferably have a background in psychology (backgrounds in media and communication or criminology will also be considered). This studentship is only available to applicants who are eligible to pay the UK/EU tuition fee – i.e., those who are permanently resident in the UK or another EU country.

Scholarship Description: The Department of Media and Communication and Department of Criminology are pleased to offer a funded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) studentship for October 2012 entry. The studentship will pay full-time University UK/EU tuition fees for three years and include an annual maintenance grant at standard Research Council rates. The studentship is offered in partnership with the Serious Organised Crime Agency and the National Crime Agency.
