Brief Description:
The Kochi University of Technology (KUT) in Japan, is offering a special scholarship programme for international (i.e. non-Japanese) students.
The Special Scholarship Program is the KUT scholarship program designed for excellent international students. Successful applicants will be exempted from all the required student fees, receive 240,000 yen per year as a Scholarship upon application, and also receive up to 960,000 yen per year for working as a research assistant under the specific research project. The research projects may be particularly interesting to students from the Faculties of Health, Sport and Science, and Advanced Technology.

The scholars will attend the WSQ Diploma Programme in Culinary Arts (WSQ-DCA) at AtSunrice in Singapore under full tuition coverage. Scholars will also receive a monthly allowance of S$800 for the duration of their apprenticeship.

Grants will be made to eligible institutions across the full range of the performing and fine arts. Such organizations will be specialist arts training institutions or registered charities which can demonstrate outstanding quality within their particular field. Institutions may make only one application for funding within each call, but funds may be requested for more than one type of artistic activity or form of financial support (e.g. summer school bursaries, postgraduate mentorships, innovative teaching for undergraduates, etc.). The applying organisation will be responsible for the selection and nomination of students for bursaries and for the selection and employment of teaching staff for innovative teaching activity.
